智慧交通（或智能交通），指的是现代科技及管理手段在交通系统中的综合运用，它能让人们的出行以及城市交通的管理更加智能、便捷、高效。
英文中，关于智慧交通有两个比较常见的翻译：Intelligent Transportation，以及Smart Transportation。根据Will的了解，关于智能交通，目前尚没有统一、标准的权威界定。因此Intelligent Transportation，Smart Transportation这两个说法都被广泛用来指“智慧交通”。实践中，intelligent，smart也多被翻译为“智慧（的）”。
不过，维基百科的词条似乎倾向于使用Intelligent Transportation，另外，一些科技行业巨头如IBM等，也使用Intelligent Transportation比较多一些。
